The ANZA club rental rates 2012
*The ANZA Club is proud to support small independent projects and is willing to negotiate alternate rates for long-run or special charity and non-profit events*
Room Rental rates (All prices are subject to HST)
Set up and tear down of the room is the responsibility of the renter. Access to the room can be as early as 12:00 pm on weekdays. Stage lighting is included in rental rates. Access to wireless internet and hard wired internet included in the cost of the rental.
Renter hosts the bar (Includes security) Monday - Thursday $450.00 Non profit Friday - Sunday $700.00 Non profit
Any day that falls on a statutory holiday will be charged another $150.00 The rental rates apply to 5 hrs of operation. If there is a need to extend opening hours then a charge of $50/hr is applied to cover additional staffing.
If the renter hosts the bar they are responsible for, Private special occasion license 3rd person liquor liability insurance - minimum $2 million coverage Staff for the bar Staff for receiving tickets or door charge Stock for the bar Renter retains all revenue generated from the bar and the door.
Members events where the ANZA club hosts the bar (Membership is $10) (Includes bar staff and security) Monday - Thursday $350.00 Friday - Sunday $500.00

Daytime hourly rate when no bar is being used $40/hr Non Profit $35/hr Rate is charged from when staff start until the staff are off. Available Monday to Friday from 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Available Sunday from 12:00 pm - 12:00 am. Minimum charge of $200.00 The members lounge is only available for rent on Sundays when there is no special event

Equipment and additional rental options (All prices are subject to HST) Liability insurance $150.00
3rd person liquor liability insurance - $2 million coverage If the renter is unable to provide their own insurance then they may use the coverage provided by All Sport Insurance Sound System - (Optional) Live Music Recorded Music Sound Tech (optional) $150.00 $100.00 $125.00 Front of house sound system consists of two hanging cabinets and 2 double 18" subs The main board is an Allen & Heath Mix Wizard WZ3 16:2 Ample amplification & processing 3 on stage powered monitors CD player Live music rentals include 6 Sure 58 microphones 1 Sure 57 microphone A drum mic kit (4 pieces) 1 Kick mic Mic stands & ample cables The ANZA club does not supply DI Boxes Projector - (Optional) $75.00 Mounted and hardwired with VGA and HDMI cable options Source connection is safely located by the sound booth behind the bar making for a convenient location to connect audio and out of reach of guests The ANZA Club screen rolls down and is 14' x 12'
Glasses and glasswasher (optional) $100.00 Includes a staff member to maintain and clean glasses / washer 9 & 16 oz glasses 60 oz pitchers shot glasses Cleaning chemicals for the glasswasher (all other items to be supplied by the renter) (If the ANZA club is hosting the bar this service is included)
Draft system (optional) $25.00 2 tap direct draw draft unit Beer gas Note: warm or shaken kegs may have difficulty pouring The ANZA will store kegs the night before events but the renter is responsible for moving them from the cooler to the draft unit. The ANZA club is not responsible for beer that is foamy or won't pour. (If the ANZA club is hosting the bar this service is included)
Coat Check Service (Optional) $50.00 5 coat racks 200 coat hangers 200 coat check tickets Coat check area setup at the entrance of the room with curtains (The ANZA club does not supply any staff) (When not using this service the ANZA club provides 2 coat racks with hangers) Bar staff are available to hire at a rate of $15/hr.
SOCAN (Society of Composers, Authors and Music Publishers of Canada) Requires that the users of music obtain a SOCAN license to perform, or authorize others to perform, copyright music in public. To ensure that the appropriate license is in place, it is the policy of the ANZA club to collect and remit the required license fee to SOCAN. If you are holding a Reception/Convention/Assembly or fashion show then the fee is as follows; $31.04 without dancing and $66.27 with dancing including HST. If you are holding a live music event the cost is 3% of total door revenues or a minimum of $39.20 including HST Please note that this amount will be added to your rental fee.
How to proceed The first thing to do is to get a hold of the ANZA club to find a date. Please be aware that weekend dates tend to fill up quickly unless there are cancellations. Once a date has been found you may confirm the date by signing a contract and securing the date with a deposit of $200.00. If securing multiple dates a larger deposit will be required The full amount in addition to the deposit, insurance and liquor license are required two week prior to the event. The deposit will be returned 2 business days after the event depending on no damage.
Cancellation policy The weekend cancellation policy is 45 days. The weekday cancellation policy is 30 days. If the renter cancels prior to either of the above dates the deposit will be returned. If the renter cancels within the about dates the deposit is lost unless the date is able to be rented.
Kitchen Facilities The ANZA club does not have any kitchen facilities. However, the renter is welcome to bring in outside catering if they would like. The ANZA is happy to recommend "The Butler Did It Catering". A menu is available upon request
