The ANZA Club is thrilled to present the launch of The Guitar Cabraret series with host, the internationally-reknowned singer songwriter and guitaist Paul Pigat. The Guitar Cabaret pairs local guitar virtuoso and host Paul Pigat with a wide range of guitar-slinging guests. For the launch concert, we are tickled to have the sensational Shawn Verrault (Wide Mouth Mason) join Pigat on stage. This series will continue on a semi-regular basis with the next edition being in December .

Paul Pigat has a robust and diverse career. Best known as the frontman and blistering guitarist for the rockabilly band Cousin Harley, Pigat also has a wide breadth of projects from jazz to roots to blues, most notably The Paul Pigat Trio and Boxcar Campfire. Paul’s solo guitar performances showcase the entire range of his work and never ceases to amaze and dazzle audiences and fans around the world. However impressive the list of credits he's compiled over the last few years has been — earned by supporting artists such as Neko Case, Jim Byrnes, Michael Kaeshammer and Carolyn Mark and opening for such acts as the Blind Boys of Alabama and The Stray Cats — it's when you get to hear Paul on his own that his star really shines.

Shaun Verreault is best known as the singer/guitarist/songwriter for the band Wide Mouth Mason. The platinum-selling blues rockers have toured with AC/DC and played on multiple tours with both the Rolling Stones and ZZ Top. Ray Charles himself has remarked, "That boy can play guitar!". Shaun’s solo performances have taken place in +50 degree heat in Dubai and -50 degree cold at the North Pole, and a great many places and temperatures in between. His hybrid slide-and-bare-fingers playing mixes fluid and adventurous phrasing with a singer's lyricism. He’s recently developed a style of lap steel playing using three slides which, as far as he can google, appears to be his own unique creation.
